Last Night/ CTE review

So Last night was Cage the elephant, and to say the least, it was absolutely AMAZING!
Matthew Schultz sure knows how to put on an crazy good show (literally). So much stage diving, screaming and sweating; the perfect combination. That was my first time at Oxford Art Factory and it is pprobably one of my favourite venues that I've been too, it's small, intimate and has a great underground atmosphere. Overall the night was excellent and I can say with confidence that it was one of my favourite live performances! Oh and I was lucky enough to get the set list from the show :)

On a similar note, I applied for a contribution writers job today, and had my first attempt at writing a gig review! Have a look and tell me what you think?

Cage the Elephant – Oxford Art Factory

Entertaining and intimate are the best ways to describe Cage the Elephants Gig at Sydney’s Oxford Art Factory. Support act, Cameras, performed a quirky set thanks to the strikingly strange and talented vocalist Eleanor. The trio had also borrowed some local musicians to help out with their gig. Cage the elephants highly energetic performance saw continuous stage dives from both over eccentric fans and lead man Matthew Shultz. The Kentucky outfit’s set consisted of 17 blissful songs from both albums, all of their hits song we played including shake me down, around my head and a show stealing encore of ain't no rest for the wicked. Cage the elephant had the crowd screaming the words and awkwardly jumping around throughout the entire set, definitely an unforgettable live performance and one of my personal favourites!

Today my friend invited me to her review of the cage the elephant side show on saturday at Sydney's oxford arts factory, I haven't been to the venue yet but I'm already so excited! Ever since the 2012 Big Day Out's line up was released they were the band I wanted to see the most (more than Kanye West and Foster the people) and since I didn't bother with a ticket this year I would have missed out!

Let's just say Saturday could not come quick enough!

I desperately need a new pair of Vans as my ones are getting old and dirty looking. I keep trying to find some cute vintage/ sun dresses but I'm not having much luck lately. The most luck I've had was when I won two tickets to see Aloe Blacc last wednesday thanks to the Frontier Touring Co! I had such a great time with my boyfriend, we spent the day in Sydney walking around all day before going to the Enmore Theatre. We stopped off at a few vintage stores near Oxford Street, and made our way to General Pants and the One Teaspoon sale! I had the BEST pizza for dinner at a Pizzeria in Newtown which Im sure will become a new pre gig tradition :)

Sunny weather

Continuous sunny days have been great for my skin as i'm finaly starting to get a tan. For months I have had really pasty blemished skin which is slowly gaining a healthy glow. Yay!
